Punch List Revisited

Back in 2006 I made punch lists to go along with my anniversary posts. Now I am setting up the nifty project tracker bars on Houseblogs so I need to revisit those lists. Would you care to join me? Note: It ain't gonna be pretty.

Exterior:

• new roof -major leaks have been replaced

Foyer:

• prime and paint stairwell
  install trim -about 75% finished

  seal window/build storm -ended up buying a storm

Living Room:

Master Bedroom:

And of course the past couple of years have added more projects to these lists. However, if you look at the big picture, compare what we've done with what we have left, like I have when doing my project tracker it doesn't seem quite as bad.

Here a Quilt, There a Quilt

While Katkit13's idea of a quilt over the new bed is lovely. I don't think that's the route I want to go. See my mom's hobby is quilting and she is amazing. But we have amassed quite a collection in the master bedroom already. I'm just looking for a little some thing different.
This is the view across from the bed.

She made this one for us for Christmas 2002. Tim picked out fabric and I chose the pattern.
The quilt on the left was done by a family friend of Tim's.

The quilt on the right was a wedding gift from mom.
She didn't make this quilt for us. But I loved the colors in it, so she gave it to us. It works beautifully in the big bedroom.
The wall hanging is a pattern created by my Aunt Carla. Another talented quilter in the family, who also designs patterns.

The quilt one the bed was a 4-H project done by yours truly.
This wall hanging was done by mom as last years birthday present to Tim. It hangs in his office. I think it matches great with all his airplane stuff because the pattern reminds me of propellers.

Attention Potential Guests

The guest bathroom now had its very own curtain. Yes. It doesn't not yet have a door, but this lovely window covering provides piece of mind for the more modest of guests. It really doesn't show up very well in the photo, but the curtain is actually I waffle-weave shower curtain. It's hung on a regular old curtain rod using those nifty roller-ball shower curtain holders. It would probably look a little nicer if we actually had the window itself finished to match the woodwork. All in good time.

The window in the office also got a pretty little "outfit" of its own. Now I won't have a glare on my computer screen, yea!
I can't decide if I like how the curtain and rod cover the woodwork. I'm thinking I might buy a tension rod and try that out once. I'm just not a curtain type of girl. I've got an eye for color, but the actual art of hanging them I often struggle with. -sigh-

I'm doing just fine with out my soul thank you

The first thing I can remember my sister Mary saying when she saw the house is, "I'm not going in there it will eat my soul!" Ever since then I've been trying to make the house look less evil for her benefit. She's returning from Germany tomorrow so I need to step cleaning efforts up into high gear to get from this:
