Another Round of Woodwork
Tim and Dale split up the woodwork for the living room (actually, I'm willing to bet Dale has most of it), and Tim's been busily refinishing that.
We just have to get the woodwork that's still in place around the run of three windows and see if we can remove the pocket doors. If we can't we'll have to refinish them in place also. Then it's off to the local hardware store to rent a floor sander.
Tim thinks we'll be moving furniture into the room in a week. My bet is a month. Anyone want to start a pool?

After you sand the floor, don't you have to seal it? And doesn't the sealer need to dry untouched for more than a week?
We used a wonderful product on all our oak floors when we were in MN. It's called Gym Seal from Hillyard Floor Care in Owatonna, MN (507 area code). Ask for Jeff Pumper or Del Point - they are awesome and they will deliver it! It dried quickly and had a sheen that doesn't quit. We did about 1600 square feet for under $400. You'll want to be out of the house for a day or two (we were very conscientious of this issue because our daughter was not quite two years old at that time). Your house is looking wonderful! Congrats!
